Baystone Bank Campsite is on the undiscovered South West peninsular of Cumbria. Nestling below Blackcombe and only 5 miles from the sea; it is the perfect destination for anyone wishing for a quiet break in the Lake District.

Baystone Bank Farm Campsite – the perfect place for a quite break in the Lake District. Situated between Eskdale and Broughton-in-Furness we are situated in the perfect location for anyone wanting to escape the rat race and see one of the quieter yet beautiful sides of the Lake District. With walks straight from the campsite and Blackcombe overlooking you this is any walkers dream. 15 minutes to the sea, 20 minutes to Coniston and only 30 minutes to Scarfell Pike we are positioned beautifully to access the honey pots of the Lakes without the inconvenience of crowds.

PRICE

Hot showers, toilets and washing up facilities are basic but adequate for your stay and all included in your rate.

Here are the prices on a per person per night basis:

Children under 10 and dogs FREE! Just remember your pooper scoopers please!

We welcome both tents and campervans throughout the summer. Electric hook up is not yet available, coming soon!

Milk, bread and eggs are available from the farm house and the nearest town of Millom is 4 miles away however, if you can pre-order, a
Tesco delivery which, via arrangement, we can store for you until you arrive.



THE CAMPSITE & SURROUNDING AREA

Baystone Bank Campsite is a working farm so you can enjoy the delights of seeing cows being raised in fields close by and if your stay is in high spring then you might even get chance to feed a lamb. John knows all the cows by name and he will be more than happy to introduce you!

The campsite has a stream running through it - the perfect place for a paddle on a hot summer’s day.

As well as the popular wonders of the Lake District the South West Peninsular of Cumbria has many magic’s to offer, just down the road are Heavy Horses which you can enjoy a ride on and at Brockwood Hall, just one mile away there is  public swimming pool, leisure centre and restaurant which you can enjoy come rain or shine.

The Furness peninsula is also the home of real ale in Cumbria and just a mile down the road you can catch the bus to do your very own whistle stop tour of three local micro breweries and a handful of real ale pubs all providing award winning real ale and lots of local characters.


DIRECTIONS

Finding your way to Baystone Bank Campsite from the M6:

From junction 36 off the M6, follow signs for Barrow-in-Furness staying on the A590. Once at Greenodd turn right onto the A5092 towards Whitehaven. At Grizebeck you’ll  join the A595, stay on this road through Foxfield-in-Furness and head over towards Millom. Before the Millom junction stay on the A595 and go up and over the hill, drop down around the right hand corner and you’ll see the sharp right hand junction for Baystone Bank Campsite. Head up the hill, watch out for cars coming in the opposite direction. We are half a mile along the road.
